The Islamic Association of Eastern North Carolina was established in 1985. Since that time the Islamic Center facility has doubled. With the growing needs of the Muslim community, plans for even bigger expansion in future are under active consideration.
The Islamic Center features separate prayer halls for men and women, a library, kitchen and a carpeted second floor facility, to be used for prayer and other community center activities when needed and also facilitates some recreational activities for children.
The Islamic Center will be used for five daily prayer times, Friday prayer and other activities related to the Islamic teachings.
The Islamic Center provides Sunday School services for our youth. Also available through the Islamic Center is a Muslim Cemetery and burial services for use by the local Muslim community and the Muslim Community at large.
